Meet the Designer
Following her love for people and art Sané uses her passion to create bespoke fashion. Read her journey below.
Growing up I was never one of those people who had it all figured out. I was a dreamer and a self-proclaimed artist. The world was my oyster but I didn’t know what my future path would be. There were, however, two parts of my being that always remained constant: my love for people and my love for art.
My first career followed my first love. After matric I enrolled at Stellenbosch to study Education and after four long years my heart had not found peace. Something was missing. But I had come this far, so on I went to teach. Two years passed and I was still unsure and unsatisfied. Where was all the creativity, where was all the art?
It was this question, this need, that ultimately led me to my decision to start over, to change it all. So, at the age of 24 I went back to university and this time it was to study for a BA Degree in fashion at FEDISA. I found that fashion design was so much more than just making a dress. It taught me to pay attention to the finer details and that hard work and hours spent always shows in the end.
Today, I work with people and I produce wearable works of art. I am a dreamer, a designer, and a creator. I can imagine, draw, and make. These are my skills, but they are also my passion. I have found my niche.
